Playmaker Said Benrahma has admitted that he has the dream to play in the Premier League during his career, but hopes that he can do it with Brentford.
Brentford star Said Benrahma has been linked with a move to the Premier League after his run of strong form since the turn of the year. French news outlet Le Buteur reported that the playmaker has caught the eyes of Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea.
The winger has been in electric form for the Bees in recent months, playing a crucial role in Thomas Frank’s side. Since the turn of the year, he has provided 12 goals and assists in as many games, helping Brentford into 16th place after a shaky first half of the season.
Speaking about his links with a move to the Premier League after he netted a hat-trick versus Hull City last Saturday, Benrahma said he hopes to play in the top flight.
“It took me some time to adjust and adapt to the Championship, and now I do feel a lot more comfortable playing here and in this division,” he told football.london.
“Things are going really well. I was obviously delighted to get the goals, and to do it in such a great team performance made it very special.
“It is the first hat-trick I have ever scored, and something that I will always remember – it makes you pleased and proud. Our objective now for the rest of the season is to finish as high as we can and continue to climb the table.
“And for me personally I would love to play in the Premier League one day, and I don’t see any reason why that can’t be with Brentford. Any player wants to test themselves at the highest level.”
