PREVIEW- Hull City looking to get back to winning ways against Brentford on Saturday

Nigel Adkins’ Hull City travel to Griffin Park to face Thomas Frank’s Brentford on Saturday in the SkyBet Championship and will be looking to get their Play-Off push back on track with three points.

The Tigers were left frustrated with their 2-2 draw at home to lowly Rotherham United last time out. They were 2-0 up at half-time and saw the win slip through their fingers as the Millers pegged them back.

Brentford on Saturday provides an opportunity for Adkins’ men to close the gap on the top six. However, the Bees are no pushovers and will be keen to extend their impressive run of form at Griffin Park.

This a meeting between the sides who sit third and fourth in the form table and second and fourth in the goals table over the past ten games, so the ingredients are there for the 12,000 fans to see a cracker.

Brentford have no fresh injury concerns whilst Hull defensive duo Reece Burke and Jordy de Wijs are expected to be in contention for the game after returning from injury. The visitors may also be without midfielder Kevin Stewart, who has picked up a knock in training this week.

French striker Neal Maupay has scored 21 goals in all competitions for the Bees this season and will be eager to add to his tally on Saturday. He scored a late winner against Aston Villa in the last game at Griffin Park.

The visiting Jarrod Bowen, on the other hand, has been the Tigers’ standout player in this campaign. His 16 league goals have helped his side catapult up the league table from relegation candidates to the top twelve of the division.
