3. Andy Butler (Centre half)
New signing Butler could prove to be a very good player for the Blades. Experience is a virtue for the 30 year old who made 104 appearances for former club Walsall. Butler missed only one league game last season so commitment to the cause will not be an issue for the new Blades player.
In an already solid defence, it’s likely that Butler will replace youngster Harry Maguire in the back four. The England U21 International moved from Bramall Lane to Hull City in this window and manager Clough will hope that Butler can do as good a job as Maguire did.
I think Butler’s experience will benefit the Blades as they look for promotion this season. He’s shown his ability in recent pre-season friendlies and I think that he is a very good signing for Sheffield United.
