One constant at Elland Road this season, alongside the often sparkling football, has been the injury list. It is an entity that Whites fans have become increasingly accustomed to.
It seems that there is always a case of bad news tempering the good when it comes to player injuries at Elland Road. No sooner do the Whites have a player off the treatment tables, but there is another waiting to take his place.
Latest to fulfil this portent is, seemingly, United’s top-scorer in Kemar Roofe.

Whichever view you take on this picture, be it ‘injury’ or ‘precautionary’, that’s a serious leg brace that Kemar Roofe is wearing. It is of the type of brace that is often used to stabilise the knee-joint when it has suffered some degree of damage of one kind or another.
That is, indeed, the buzz that is circulating on the rumour grapevine that is Twitter. Here the zeitgeist is that Roofe is out injured and it is ligament damage that is to blame. Whilst some are propagating this particular view, there are those who are caught in two minds about it. Many are looking for answers.
Should this injury claim prove to be true, substantiated by either the club or someone such as Phil Hay, it will be a big loss indeed for the Whites. The former Oxford United striker is, by some distance, the leading scorer at the club with 14 goals so far this season.
With just 14 games left, it can be argued that this is the very crux of the campaign for Leeds United. If Roofe is out, then they will need to rely on big-money buy Patrick Bamford to fulfil the role of single striker in Bielsa’s set-up.
As said, it is something that has gotten Leeds United fans talking. Here’s what some of them are saying over on Twitter.
Roofe out ‘injured’ – here’s how Leeds United fans have reacted
Gutted. Trying to think positive and think Bamford coming back at this stage is a blessing in disguise..

Hearing Roofe is out for about 4 weeks. Can anyone shed any light? #lufc

If roofe is injured then just got to hope Bamford is fully sharp by Bolton.

I’ve said to a couple of others, Roofe wouldn’t be missed unless others hot injured at the same time. I’d choose Brown over him in 10 and Bamford over him in 9.

With Roofe now out injured, we desperately need Bamford to stay fit!! #lufc
