Leeds United have been a little under the weather over recent games, a little off the pace. Wins have been hard to come by as they look to consolidate at the head of the table.
A recent 3-1 loss to Norwich City seemed to underscore the bad fortune and lack of a killer instinct in front of goal. It was also a frustrating time for the Whites at Middlesbrough at the weekend, their doggedness eventually repaying them with a 101st minute equaliser.
Despite occupying, and in some ways hanging on to 2nd place in the table, a hard game was expected again a Swansea side only relegated last season.
However, the turmoil behind the scenes at the Liberty Stadium was evident on the pitch tonight at Elland Road in a first-half where they came a distinct second best.
A determined Leeds United side, in front of a packed-out Elland Road, produced a quality half of football. It was that cool, assured display that fans had been looking out for across the last few games.
They needed to look no longer.

It was a half that Leeds United dominated, in a game they eventually went on to win 2-1 to go top by a point over rivals Norwich City.
