Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham wants to reach 30 goals this season.
The prolific Chelsea loanee is currently on 20 goals and wants to fire more to help get Villa into the Play-Offs between now and the end of the campaign.
Abraham, who is 21 years-old, bagged his 20th goal in the league on Friday in his side’s dramatic 3-3 draw against Sheffield United at Villa Park.
There are 15 games left of the season and the youngster wants another 10 goals before he returns to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Abraham has said, as per a report by Birmingham Live: “It’s a team sport and I said when I first came here I had to help the team as much as I can. As much as I want to smash records and do things for myself, I want to help this team as much as possible. That means taking this club up”.
“I am going to keep fighting as much as I can, right until the last game.” I just want to keep banging in goals. There are what, 15 games to go? Hopefully I can score another 10. We’ll see.”.
Friday’s draw has left Dean Smith’s Villa 10th in the league and six points off the Play-Offs.
With Abraham leading the line, there is no reason why they can’t close the gap on the top six. He scored 26 goals the last time played in the second tier with Bristol City in the 2016/17 season and looks well on his way to beat that this time around.
