Ipswich Town fans were not too disheartened as they watched on as their side lost 3-0 to promotion-chasing derby rivals Norwich City at Carrow Road this lunchtime.
Onel Hernandez opened the scoring for the home side after just two minutes before a second half double from striker Teemu Pukki capped-off what looked like a routine win for Daniel Farke’s side.
The result only told half of the story with bottom club Ipswich Town having four more shots on goal than The Canaries and enjoying more of the possession. After the match, fans of The Tractor Boys were disappointed with the result but many did see hope for the future under new boss Paul Lambert.

Hate losing to the budgies but possibly the best performance I have seen by Town in ages.
But we desperately need to find a goal scorer from somewhere #itfc #ipswich #town— Terry Arnold (@TeZZeR14) February 10, 2019

We lost, but we played well, we showed passion, we had fire in our belly. OK we can't finish.
But this is my #itfc passion and willing to play for the shirt and that's all I will ever ask for— Andrew Murphy (@piratesmurf24) February 10, 2019
Proud of Ipswich today. Fought hard for the shirt & didn’t deserve that scoreline. Judge, Chalobah outstanding. Couple of nasty tackles but a proper derby. Best ref I’ve seen this season. Fair play to Zimmerman also. #itfc

Yes we lost, but I for one am proud to be Ipswich! The fight and passion the boys,Lambert and the coaching staff showed today is exactly what we need! We are still and will always continue to be the Pride of Anglia considering only one of us has actually achieved anything! #itfc
