Pools are certainly “due” a good season…
Alongside Rochdale, who incidentally got promoted last season, Pools’ fans are the longest suffering in English football (The Telegraph). Within the past ten years there have been high points with three back-to-back promotion surges from Leagues 1 and 2 respectively. Only one of them was successful however when Danny Wilson guided Pools to League 1 after the prior season’s relegation. The club must remember that it was not long ago that they were 8 minutes away from the Championship after being harshly defeated by Sheffield Wednesday in the League 1 play off final.
The past few seasons can only be described as depressing, surely its time for one good season?
