Starlets Luke James and Michael Duckworth have signed new contracts…
This week Luke James, the club’s prized asset, signed a new contract after entering the final year of his current one. The prospect of a minimized return on the youngster would be a travesty for a club that relies heavily on their young protégés coming good and subsequently being sold. James scored 16 goals last season before an injury problem curtailed his 20-goal dream. At the ripe age of twenty, James will look to push on next season to secure his dream move or dream promotion with Pools.
Another player that committed his future to the club was Michael Duckworth, a player snapped up from non-league Bradford Park Avenue during Colin Cooper’s first transfer window. The right back has gone on to become a firm fan favorite with his lung busting runs forward certainly catching the eye. Duckworth is another player who will aspire to play higher.
