Millwall predicted XI as Millers head to The Den

Neil Harris has some tough selection calls to make ahead of Millwall’s game with Rotherham at The Den on Saturday.

Millwall have just 17 fit outfield players after failing to add anyone to the squad on Deadline Day. A run of seven games in the next 16 days means Neil Harris will need to rotate his small squad but his options are limited.

Tom Bradshaw, Tom Elliott, Conor McLaughlin and Ben Amos are all ruled out through injury. Jed Wallace is a doubt after picking up an injury at Middlesbrough two weeks ago.

On a more positive note, Neil Harris can welcome back Ben Marshall, Ben Thompson and Fred Onyedimna back after they were cup tied last weekend.

Another big question will be the choice of formation. Will Neil Harris stick with the new found 4-3-3 or revert back to 4-4-2. He has enough players available to play ether formation.

Aiden O’Brien, Shane Ferguson and Ryan Tunnicliffe all impressed in Saturday’s win over Everton, giving Neil Harris food for thought.

Rotherham will arrive at The Den with their own injury concerns. The Millers have five long term absentees Darren Potter and Jamie Proctor are at the start of the their rehabilitation phases from long term injures. Ryan Williams is out with a hamstring injury while Joe Newell has a groin problem. In a rare piece of good news for Paul Warne, Joshua Kayode is nearing a return and good play some part at The Den on Saturday.

Rotherham have won the last four league meetings between the sides. Including this seasons meeting at the New York Stadium. Sean Raggett’s first half header enough to settle the tie.

Predicted Millwall XI

Archer; Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, M Wallace; Williams, Thompson, Leonard; Ferguson, Marshall, Gregory.
