Hull winger staying put despite Middlesbrough interest

As reported on The72, Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki was reportedly in talks with Middlesbrough this week ahead of a proposed move to the Riverside on an initial loan deal.

However, according to reports on Gazette Live, Hull are hoping to keep hold of Grosicki, and will do all they can for the Polish international to stay at the KCOM Stadium at least until the end of the season.

Hull are adamant that they will keep their key players at the club, including Jared Bowen who has been linked with a move to Tottenham this window, and Kamil Grosicki, who has been interesting  Middlesbrough.

The report suggests the Tigers are yet to received any official bids from any club, although Middlesbrough were believed to be ‘in talks’ with the winger as of yesterday.

Hull have been catapulted up the table in recent weeks after a surge of form, winning six of their last ten games, drawing two and losing two. They currently sit six points off a Play Off place, and will be desperate to keep Grosicki, given his performances of late.

So far this season, the Pole has scored four goals and registered six assists in 22 league appearances, and would be the type of player Tony Pulis would be looking for, given his directness, pace and creativity – something Middlesbrough have been lacking since the sale of Adama Traore to Wolves at the start of the campaign.

Boro have also been looking into other targets, including Everton’s Yannick Bolasie and Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy, but nothing has come to fruition as of yet.
