Unpopular? Maybe, but no one can deny that he still has potential and that he just needs the right man to reign him in; that man could be Steve McClaren. In his early days at Arsenal he was considered a prodigy who could be a new Viera but bad decisions and even worse business ventures have left the Ghanaian midfielder without a club. He could be a short or long term investment and with no cost there’s very little risk involved. He is strong, aggressive and mobile something which Derby could really use to inject some pace in the middle of the park. He would also be something of a project to be placed alongside Thorne, Hughes, Hendrick, Russell and Christie in developing a team of quality young players. Having just been released by Barnsley it’s not as if he could demand astronomical wages. Could be something of a shrewd move.
