Leeds United may be close to completing a deal for Kiko Casilla it Real Madrid but the window doesn’t look like ending there for Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa. Leeds want Swansea winger Dan James, and the alternative is of very similar style.
Callum O’Dowda of Bristol City is the latest player to be revealed as a Leeds United target. The young Irish winger is very highly rated and is of a very similar mould to Dan James at Swansea. One of the highest priorities at Leeds United this month is a winger and we know of two that the club are at the very least interested in bringing to Elland Road. There was rumours of Jefferson Montero, also of Swansea but that deal seems unlikely compared to the others.
I understand Leeds are looking into Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda as an option as they pursue a new winger #lufc

James, 21 is having a good season at Swansea City after the club were relegated from the Premier League last season. Graham Potter is trying to blood in youngsters and of them all Dan James is one of the most highly rated. Phil Hay believes Swansea value him between £3 million and £5 million, a fee that Leeds should be spending given the net spend in recent years under Andrea Radrizzani. The club need to back Marcelo Bielsa as he has the club sitting in the best position for the club to gain promotion for many years.
yes. Although Daniel James is the one they want.

O’Dowda, 23 is the latest player to be linked as Phil Hay has confirmed that the player is of interest to Leeds, although Dan James is the number one target. Quick and tricky with huge potential it’s clear Leeds are looking at that sort of player, James very similar in style and age to O’Dowda. Either of them would be a positive addition to the currently squad at Elland Road, we lack width at times and numbers in that area. Once the Casilla deal is completed Leeds can focus on the next player.
