Hull City star wants to play in the Premier League with the Tigers

Jarrod Bowen is targeting the Premier League. He believes that he and his teammates can lead Hull to the big time.

It was an awful start to the season for Hull, with fans questioning if Nigel Adkins was the right man for the job. However, a run of six consecutive league wins means Hull are now 10th. Four points behind the top six. From relegation strugglers to play-off contenders.

One of the reasons behind Hull’s change in fortunes is the form of Jarrod Bowen. The 22 year old scored twice at the weekend taking his season total to 13. This had led to plenty of speculation about his future with links to Tottenham surfacing.

Bowen has told Sky Sports in an interview that he was told nothing about those rumours.

He said “There is always going to be interest in every single player when you play well, but I’ve got agents that represent me that take care of that and they didn’t say anything to me.”

“It’s nice to see your name linked to some teams, but I am a Hull City player and as far as I’m aware it’s just rumours.

Bowen has been part of what has been a turbulent period for Hull. He was signed by Steve Bruce in 2014 but did not make his debut until 2016 under Mike Phelan. He made his first Premier League start under Marco Silva a year later.

Since the arrival of Nigel Adkins Bowen has been a mainstay in the side. He admitted he wasn’t sure what his future held when Adkins arrived. “I was confident with what I had done but it’s always worrying when a new manager comes in. But he has shown faith in me ever since he came in as well. You just need show how good you are and how hard you want to work for them.”

Bowen is a player that has huge potential that one day will see him make the move to the top flight. He hopes that will be with Hull. “That is everyone at this club’s aim now. We have got out of a deep, dark hole and we are looking up. I think we are good enough to do it, but we will have to see how it goes.”
