Multiple clubs thought to be ready to sign Nottingham Forest outcast

Multiple clubs are thought to have made enquiries over the availability of Nottingham Forest forward Jason Cummings according to reports by the Edinburgh Evening News.

The 23-year-old Edinburgh-born frontman is currently on a season-long loan spell at Sky Bet League One club Peterborough United but is struggling for game time at the ABAX Stadium.

With Cummings currently out of favour at The Posh, it is understood that parent club Nottingham Forest have an option to terminate the loan deal. The striker’s former club Hibernian have been linked with a possible move for the player this month and it has now been reported that The Reds have received enquiries regarding Cummings’ availability from multiple clubs.

Cummings joined Forest from Hibernian in summer 2017 for an undisclosed fee and the player signed a three-year deal at The City Ground. The forward has found life in the Sky Bet Championship tough with Cummings making just 17 appearances for The Reds in which he has scored four goals.

With former Forest boss Aitor Karanka having left the club in the last few days, Cummings could have an outside chance of proving himself at The City Ground should he return early from his loan spell with Peterborough United, although in reality, a loan deal with another club for the remainder of the season looks like a real possibility.
