Blackpool are lining up a move for former Fulham defender, Matt Briggs, according to Sky Sports Journalist, Pete O’Rourke.

On his Twitter account, O’Rourke Tweeted:

The 23 year old defender has had a rather sluggish career. His only permanent senior club has been Fulham, where he spent 8 years. However, during his time in London, Briggs made only 13 appearances for the newly-relegated Championship club.

He has spent most of his career out on loan having spells at Leyton Orient, Peterborough United, Bristol City and Watford. Even spending time on loan hasn’t helped the youngster. He has only made 17 appearances in total whilst being out on loan at the various different clubs.

Briggs, currently a free agent, could soon have a new opportunity at a new club if Blackpool move forward with their apparent interest.
