Leeds looking to miss out as Agard could be on his way to League 1

Earlier in the month it was made aware that Leeds United were keen on signing Rotherham striker and former Everton and Arsenal youth player Kieran Agard. According to recent reports however by SkySports Bristol City appear to be the clear front-runners in the chase for him with Cotterill admitting he is a ‘fan’ of the striker to SkySports.

The Robins have been reportedly chasing the Millers striker for a while now and even though they are a league below the recently promoted Millers, it hasn’t deterred them in their quest to capture their clear big summer signing.

Agard’s ability shone last season in a rampant Rotherham side whose capabilities in the division were unquestionable. Despite missing out on the automatic spots, in term’s of consistency they were certainly up there with the division’s elite.

In terms of goalscoring, Agard was more than happy to bag his 21 goals in an enjoyable campaign for the South-Yorkshire club.

With him potentially dropping a division to join up with Bristol he clearly has a motive to go to the Robins which questions as to whether they have implemented real sustainable long term plans into the club.

Whatever it is, it currently seems to be working and could see them land their man.
