Moyes, Jokanovic? Five potential candidates to replace Gary Rowett at Stoke City

Stoke City have sacked Gary Rowett, as announced by their official club website this morning. Here are five potential candidates to replace him-

David Moyes- The experienced boss is the early frontrunner for the vacancy. The former Preston North End, Everton, Manchester United, Real Socieded and Sunderland manager has been available since he left West Ham United at the end of last season.

Sam Allardyce- He is another in the frame to replace Rowett. The 64-year-old, like Moyes, has been out of a job since the end of the last campaign. Would he make the step down into the Championship or are his managerial days over now?

Slavisa Jokanovic- The Serbian boss guided Fulham to promotion to the Premier League last season but was harshly sacked by the London side after a poor start to life in the top flight. He deserves another chance in England and would be ideal for Stoke.

Martin O’Neill- He parted company with the Republic of Ireland in September. The 66-year-old had held that post for five years. He had previously managed the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Norwich City, Leicester City, Aston Villa and Sunderland.

Derek McInnes- The Aberdeen boss has been linked with a move to England over recent seasons. He has done an impressive job in the Scottish Premier League with the Dons. He has managed in the Championship before with Bristol City but may be hoping to have another crack at it. Could Stoke turn to the Scot?
