The boy from Barcelona’s youth makes Leeds United debut

Nicknamed the Bulgarian Bomber in Spain and named as one of the most promising players in European football Kun Temenuzhkov arrived at Leeds United with high expectations for the future. A few of the foreign players left, Kun has stayed and seems to be in the plans for the future. Today he made his Leeds United debut.

The young striker has been spending time with the under 18’s since arriving, making the occasional appearance for the under 23’s. It seemed like, from my point of view that he was picked as the most promising talent who arrived from abroad and they have agreed that they need to give him the time to develop. After starting in the 23’s he dropped into the 18’s and he has excelled. Last season ended with him bagging the goal to seal the league title for the under 18’s.

Kun arrived from Barcelona, a coup that was made by Victor Orta. His Spanish connections were in full force and a player who the Spanish giants rated very highly arrived in West Yorkshire, no doubt the opportunity to develop and break into first-team football, hopefully in the Premier League the selling point we will guess. He clearly possesses bags of potential and finding his way to his debut today has taken its time.

Although he wasn’t on long and didn’t really get a chance to impress it’s a big moment. He now knows that he is very much in the thinking of the club and even Marcelo Bielsa for the future. His development in the youth sides will continue and hopefully he can continue to impress at the club. A player with potential like this from abroad is rare in the Championship and Leeds have to get it right.
