Oldham Athletic published: “The 31-year-old forward joined the club in summer and made 18 appearances, scoring four goals for Latics in all competitions.”

“We would like to thank him for his services and wish him the best of luck for the future.”

About Ishmael Miller –

Miller started his career at Manchester City, but after two years the striker signed permanently for West Bromwich Albion following a loan spell in which he helped them win the Championship in 2007/08.

The striker managed to make 80 appearances for the Baggies, helping them once more to reach the Premier League after winning the Championship title in 2010/11 before moving to QPR on loan.

After his time in London, he signed for Nottingham Forest and has also had spells at Middlesbrough, Yeovil Town, Blackpool and Huddersfield Town.

He has also featured for Bury in League One two years ago.

League One side Scunthorpe United have £200k bid rejected for Oldham Athletic young defender George Edmundson, but face competition with Wigan, Fleetwood Town, Peterborough United and Preston North End also keen on signing him.

In the summer, Oldham Athletic announced that young defender George Edmundson has signed a two-year contract extension with the club. The defender’s contract runs until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Oldham Athletic look set to make their first signing of the January transfer window with the addition of French defensive midfielder Mohamad Sylla from Sannois-Saint-Gratien.
