“Mauled by the Tigers, you could say”- Hull City fans react to thrashing Bolton Wanderers

Hull City extended their impressive run of form by thrashing Bolton Wanderers 6-0 at the KCOM Stadium yesterday.

The Tigers have now won their past five games and have lost just once in twelve matches.

Nigel Adkins’ side are also now seven points off the Championship Play-Offs after a remarkable upturn in results over the past couple of months.

Hull took the lead yesterday through in-form winger Kamil Grosicki who beat Bolton ‘keeper Ben Alnwick at his near post to take the hosts into half-time 1-0 up.

The Trotters didn’t know what was coming in the second-half as goals from Evandro, another from Grosicki, Jarrod Bowen, Chris Martin and Nouha Dicko made it a perfect start to 2019 for the Yorkshire side.

Hull are 13th in the league as a result of yesterday’s three points whereas Bolton remain 22nd and in the relegation zone.

The Tigers’ assistant manager Andy Crosby told their official club website after the match: “For the last half-an-hour we saw a team that is playing with real belief in each other. We probably haven’t played better than that in our time at the Club. Without being disrespectful to Bolton we probably should have scored more but that type of performance shows the confidence and belief that we have in each other”.
