Stoke City fans watched their side fall to a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Bristol City on New Years Day, leaving many Potters fans demanding the sacking of manager Gary Rowett.
After their relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2017/18 season, Stoke City sacked Paul Lambert and brought in Gary Rowett from Derby County.
The Potters had a busy summer, bringing in many new players and keeping star ‘keeper Jack Butland to help them in their effort to get out of the Championship and back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
However, it has far from gone to plan for Rowett at Stoke. They currently sit in 14th place in the Championship, sitting on 35 points – eight points away from the last Play-Off spot, currently occupied by Rowett’s former club Derby County.
With 26 games gone, the Stoke City faithful are starting to lose their patience. Videos of Anti-Rowett chants emerged after their 0-0 draw with struggling side Bolton Wanderers, and the Rowett out brigade seems to have grown after another disappointing performance.
Goals from Famara Diedhou and Callum O’Dowda put The Potters to the sword, as Bristol City won 2-0 on New Years Day. Benik Afobe missed a penalty just seven minutes in with the scores at 0-0, with The Robins scoring with their only two shots on target.
The defeat left Stoke fans fuming with Rowett, and they are demanding action.

Coates must act right now.
He's lost the players
His football is ineffective and dull.
Go now.
A new manager can still rescue this.— johnsharrock7 (@johnsharrock71) January 1, 2019

Rowett is too arrogant and too stubborn. Today was the mirror image of Mark Hughes’ #Stoke vs #Coventry in the cup; bereft of fight, energy, and any idea of how to attack. Rowett is not the man for #promotion. #RowettOut #AllardyceIn

Enough is enough, wrong appointment and it’s time to face the music.

You say it likes it’s a one off. Coates needs to look at his team and go, no more!! Rowett out. Needs a manager who will play 442, but for me I’d give Liam Lawrence the job until the summer.
