Brentford, Bristol City, Portsmouth and Wycombe Wanderers keen to snap up Watford youngster

Brentford, Bristol City, Portsmouth and Wycombe Wanderers are all keen to bring in Watford’s highly rated winger Randell Williams, according to The Sunday Mirror.

Randell Williams is currently on loan at League One side Wycombe Wanderers and has been catching the eyes of Brentford, Bristol City and Portsmouth.

With Williams unlikely to make his way into the first team at Premier League side Watford, The Hornets are willing to let him go on a permanent basis in the January transfer window. Wycombe Wanderers are looking to keep the winger at Adams Park permanently, but they look set to face some stiff competition for his signature.

Championship duo Bristol City and Brentford are looking to rivals The Chairboys and League One title contenders Portsmouth for the signature of the winger.

The 22-year-old started his career with Premier League side Spurs, but it failed to materialise in North London for the winger. After leaving the Spurs academy, Williams joined Tower Hamlets, moving on to Crystal Palace after impressing on trial.

He failed to make a single appearance for The Eagles, before swapping Palace for Watford in 2017.

Williams joined Wycombe Wanderers on loan from Watford for the second half of the 2017/18 season, impressing manager Gareth Ainsworth in his brief spell at Adams Park. He made six appearances and scored one goal, before joining Wycombe on loan once again for the 2018/19 League One season.

The winger has impressed once again in the first half of this season, playing 22 times for The Chairboys, scoring three goals and assisting two goals at Adams Park.
