Boxing Day certainly provided some serious entertainment in the Sky Bet Championship, the top two scoring two goals in injury time in their respective games to take points. Leeds United’s Kemar Roofe and Norwich City’s Onel Hernandez grabbed two each to help turn the games around.

GK – Kieran Westwood – Sheffield Wednesday – There weren’t many clean sheets around in the Championship yesterday but Westwood managed to keep one at Middlesbrough. Made some good saves and has returned to the side to help oversee two wins from two.

CB – Joel Lynch – Queens Park Rangers – Not only a clean sheet for the big QPR defender but on the score sheet as well. The rise of QPR has been quite staggering and Lynch has helped tighten things up at the back.

CB – Pontus Jansson – Leeds United – Although Leeds conceded twice against Blackburn Rovers it didn’t tell the story of the game. Charlie Mulgrew scored from a penalty and free-kick and apart from that they could barely muster a strike.

CB – Harlee Dean – Birmingham City – Stoke have been in decent form of late but Garry Monk saw to that. The defender hasn’t always been at his best since his move from Brentford but has shown how good he can be at this level this campaign.

RW – Onel Hernandez – Norwich City – Scored two in stoppage time to take the game from 1-3 to 3-3 and keep Norwich in the top two.

CM – Pablo Hernandez – May not have had the best start to the game but controlled it as it went on. When you need composure in the last minute of the game he’s your man. Whipped it onto the red of Kemar Roofe.

CM – Massimo Luongo – Queens Park Rangers – Helped control the game against Ipswich Town. His energy and work rate is of the very highest order and in games like that he can eat up the opposition if they don’t fancy it, that’s exactly what happened.

LW – Matty Cash – Nottingham Forest – You could be forgiven for thinking you’d been beaten if you were a Nottingham Forest fan on the way back from Norwich on Saturday. Cash starred in a good attacking performance from the visiting side, scoring twice in the process.

ST – Jay Rodriguez – West Bromwich Albion – Two more goals for the striker, two very different goals. Bagged a header to open the scoring and rounded it off with a stunner from the edge of the box.

ST – Kemar Roofe – Leeds United – There aren’t many strikers in the form that Kemar Roofe finds himself in currently. Looked like he was on the end of a defeat as we entered stoppage time against Blackburn, then scored twice in two minutes to win the game.

ST – Neal Maupay – The top scorer in the league bagged again, this time at Bristol City. A lovely finish on the turn to secure a point for a side struggling to get any momentum going.
