According to Dutch media source Voetbal Primeur, Sheffield Wednesday have had enough and have sacked boss Jos Luhukay.
Whilst it is, of course, unconfirmed by the Owls, the usually reliable Voetbal Primeur is reporting it amongst growing speculation from these shores. They say in their title that Wednesday “has plenty of bad results and dismisses Luhukay.”
Some tongues began to wag after the Owls boss didn’t take today’s presser, and that has built up. Instead of Luhukay, Wednesday fans saw Lee Bullen field questions.
1/2 Asked @BullenFootball why he took the presser today and not Jos Luhukay: “We just thought we would mix it up. It has been a tough 10 weeks of results and everything. You try and look at how you can mix things up.” #SWFC pic.twitter.com/QkJSbghLa5

The intrigue has continued with Sheffield Star reporter Dom Howson adding the following tweets to the mix.
1/2 Understand Jos Luhukay held a meeting with #SWFC chairman Dejphon Chansiri this morning.
Told Luhukay did NOT take training this afternoon. Training was left to his assistant Remy Reynierse and first-team coach Lee Bullen.

2/2 Reports in the Dutch media claim Luhukay has been sacked.
I have spoken to a number of good sources and it remains unclear whether Luhukay has lost his job or not. It could be an interesting couple of hours.#SWFC

55-year-old Luhukay has been in charge at Hillsborough since early January this year, a span of 48 games yielding a somewhat disappointing 1.27 points per match. Brought up through German football with the likes of FC Augburg and Hertha Berlin, it seems that his English adventure could be coming to an end.
A disappointing start to the campaign has seen Wednesday wallowing in a disappointing 18th place in the Sky Bet Championship table, something that has raised much criticism amongst the Owls faithful.
Christmas seems to be a hex period for Sheffield Wednesday managers, with the South Yorkshire side also firing Carlos Carvalhal last Christmas Eve.
An announcement is expected soon from the club.
