Sheffield United are close to signing Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell, as reported by The72 earlier today.
The Blades are not expected to spend big money in January but are hopeful of getting some loan deals done to help bolster their promotion chasing squad.
Dowell, who is 21-years-old, will leave Everton on loan this winter to gain some more first-team experience in the Championship. He has only played twice this season in the EFL Cup but is yet to play for the senior side.
Dowell spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest in the Championship and impressed for them. He played 43 times for the Reds in all competitions, scoring 10 goals.
The midfielder has also made 11 caps for the England U21s having previously represented the Three Lions at U16, U17, U18 and U20 levels in the past.

Thoughts on Kieran Dowell From a Forest mate of mine 🤔…
very skilful bit fancy, got a cracking left foot but goes missing. Will look good when you're winning but don't think he's got the work ethic for you lot… struggled to get in at Forest in the end #sufc
