“Sickening feeling” – Blackburn Rovers fans far from impressed after blowing two goal lead vs Birmingham City

Blackburn Rovers conceded two goals in the space of two minutes late on against Birmingham City, blowing a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 on Saturday afternoon.

After 76 minutes, Blackburn Rovers were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Danny Graham and half time substitute Adam Armstrong. However, by the 79th minute, Birmingham City had pulled it back to 2-2 after Craig Gardner converted a penalty and striker Che Adams tapped in from close range.

In form striker Danny Graham headed in from Harrison Reed’s cross to score his fifth goal in as many games to put Rovers ahead at Ewood Park.

They doubled their lead just one minute into the second half, as summer signing Adam Armstrong drilled home after a tidy backheel from playmaker Bradley Dack.

With all three points seemingly in the bag, Rovers shot stopper David Raya came to claim a scuffed clearance from Charlie Mulgrew, but he brought down Birmingham defender Maxime Colin in the process. Gary Gardner stepped up and fired home to make the score 2-1.

Just two minutes later, Rovers’ three points turned into just one. Gary Gardner was involved once again, as his ball to Che Adams was fired on from close range.

The Blues pressed in search of an unlikely winner, but the points were split, leaving both sides tied on 31 points after 22 Championship games.

After dropping more points late on in games, Blackburn Rovers fans have been left far from impressed with the 2-2 draw at Ewood Park. They let their feelings known on Twitter after the game:
