Millwall

Lions suffer more injury problems at Bristol City

Millwall’s already depleted squad took another hit on Sunday afternoon.

Aiden O’Brien and Shaun Williams both left the field due to injury. While Steve Morison also had to be replaced as Millwall battled for a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate. They add to an injury list that already contains Lee Gregory, Tom Elliott and Tom Bradshaw.

When asked about the injures in his post match press conference Neil Harris said. “It’s a tough one for Aiden O’Brien, it’s either very serious or nothing, it’s the knee. I am not quite sure why but it’s the reality of modern day football, knee injures, something or nothing. Fingers crossed on that one.

On Shaun Williams’s injury Harris said “Shaun Williams is ankle ligaments. So we will have to see how it settles, but realistically, It’ll be another scan. When he landed after taking the shot his ligaments got a twist.

“O’Brien landed, theres no one near him. It’s always a danger and he has certainly panicked, so thats never a good sign.

The Millwall boss was also asked about club captain Steve Morison who also had to come off. “Morison is a hamstring”

What it all means is that Millwall are facing somewhat of a crisis next weekend especially in the striking department with all five strikers injured. Tom Bradshaw is already out for the season, while Tom Elliott and Lee Gregory both missed Sunday’s trip. Steve Morison and Aiden O’Brien will both be doubts for Hull’s visit to The Den next Saturday.
