Charlton Athletic keeping tabs on Wolves duo

Charlton Athletic are keeping tabs on Wolves duo Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Dominic Iorfa, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The defensive duo have both fallen down the pecking order at the Premier League side and could be handed an escape route by the Addicks.

Charlton are currently 6th in League One and six points off the automatic promotion places. They are keen on boosting their squad in the January transfer window to help their promotion push.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell is player who knows the third tier very well. He started his career at Wolves and has played 51 times for their first-team. He has also enjoyed loan stints in League One with Bury, Sheffield United and most recently MK Dons last season.

He has won the title twice, firstly with Wolves in 2014 and then with Sheffield United in 2017.

Right-back Dominic Iorfa is another who is on Charlton’s radar. He, like Ebanks-Landell, is a product of the Wolves academy and has played 93 games for them so far in his career.

The 23-year-old has found his first-team chances hard to come by at Wolves over the past couple of seasons and never plays now they are in the top flight. He spent last season on loan at Ipswich Town and played 21 games in all competitions for the Tractor Boys.

Ebanks-Landell and Iorfa are two players who need to be playing regular football and a move to Charlton would suit both of them at this stage of their careers.
