Cardiff City, Watford and West Brom keen on Nottingham Forest star

Cardiff City, Watford and West Brom are all keen on Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley, according to the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old has been in fine form for Forest this season in the Championship and has chipped in with seven goals.

Lolley signed for Aitor Karanka’s side in January from Huddersfield Town for just £1 million and has turned out to be an inspired signing by the City Ground club.

The Reds could face a battle to hold onto him now though. Premier League side Cardiff City are in the hunt for some reinforcements to help in their relegation battle and could move for Lolley.

Watford are showing an interest as well. The Hornets boss Javi Gracia is keen on bringing in another attacking option and Lolley would offer his side something different going forward.

Fellow Championship side West Brom are also being credited with an interest. They are expected to be busy in January boosting their squad for a promotion push, though Forest are unlikely to sell Lolley to a fellow promotion contender.

Lolley spent time as a youngster at Birmingham City but had to work his way up the leagues via non-league. He has spells at Bromsgrove Rovers, Littleton and Kiddersminster Harriers before he was snapped up by Huddersfield in 2014.

He spent four-and-a-half seasons with the Terriers, albeit with a loan stint at Scunthorpe United in 2015, and was part of their promotion to the Premier League in 2017. However, he left for more regular first-team football for Forest and the move has paid off.
