Predicted Millwall XI to face Birmingham City

Millwall face Birmingham City on Wednesday evening. The Lions are looking to extend their unbeaten record at home to five games.

Neil Harris has some decisions to make in various positions. Ben Amos is available again after being ineligible to face Bolton on Saturday. However, Jordan Archer performed well making a brilliant double save. This has given the Millwall boss food for thought going into Wednesday’s game.

There are big problems in the striking department. Tom Bradshaw is out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury. Club captain Steve Morison injured his hamstring in training last week and Tom Elliott limped off with the same injury on Saturday. Both look set to miss Wednesday’s clash meaning Aiden O’Brien looks set to start up front with Lee Gregory.

Potential Changes

Mahlon Romeo IN, Conor McLaughlin OUT – Romeo didn’t start against Bolton due to travelling during the week but came on for the latter stages of the game. I expect him to return in place of Conor McLaughlin who will return to the bench.

Tom Elliot OUT, Aiden O’Brien IN – Tom Elliott limped off the pitch mid-way through the first half and was replaced by O’Brien. With Steve Morison and Tom Bradshaw also out I would expect the Irish international to partner Lee Gregory up front.

I also believe that after Saturday’s performance Jordan Archer will continue in goal, replacing Ben Amos although the former Manchester United man is once again available for selection.

Predicted Millwall XI to face Birmingham

Archer; Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, Meredith; J Wallace, Williams, Leonard, Ferguson; Gregory, O’Brien.
