PREVIEW: MK Dons v Morecambe

Improving Morecambe will be looking to make a statement when they take on promotion-chasing MK Dons at Stadium MK in Sky Bet League Two this evening.

The Shrimps’ four-match unbeaten run in the league has kept them away from the relegation zone and they will be keen to build on that sequence this evening when they face a Dons side who are currently only being denied top spot in the league table by Lincoln City’s better goal difference.

The home side go into the match on the back of a surprise 3-2 loss at Stevenage on Saturday. Manager Paul Tisdale could opt to make changes to the side following that defeat.

The Dons boss will have centre-back Baily Cargill available once again following suspension with Mitch Hancox possibly reverting to a place amongst the substitutes. Experienced campaigner Dean Lewington could move back out to left-back.

Morecambe will make the long trip south without at least five players through injury. Defenders Zak Mills (hernia) and James Sinclair (broken ankle) are both missing while midfielders Aaron Wildig and Andy Fleming are sidelined with calf and knee problems. Striker Rhys Oates is also out with a groin problem.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm with tickets available for both sets of fans on the night.
