Worrying news as Leeds United star out of Reading clash and returning attacker misses reserve clash

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that defender Pontus Jansson will not be available for their clash with Championship strugglers Reading on Tuesday night.

In his post-match conference, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa told the press that star defender Pontus Jansson will not feature in their match against Reading on Tuesday night.

The Sweden international will be on the sidelines with a foot injury, but Bielsa did not reveal if he would be available for this weekend’s game against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

“Jansson won’t be available and Bailey can be a starter tomorrow,” said Bielsa in his conference.

“At the beginning, he was supposed to be available for last Saturday and then tomorrow but it was not the case and that’s why I would like to be cautious before saying he can play next Saturday.”

However, Bielsa did provide Whites fans with some good news, at long last. Shot stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell will be available for selection tomorrow night against Reading after missing out on Saturday with a knee injury. Either Will Huffer or Kamil Miazek are set to make the bench with loanee Jamal Blackman back at parent club Chelsea after suffering a broken leg in a Under-23s game against Birmingham City.

Rumours have also began to circulate regarding loanee Izzy Brown ahead of tomorrow’s game. The attacker was set to play in an Under-23s game against Sheffield United today. However, he has not been included in the squad for the game. The news has got Leeds United fans worrying that he has suffered a worrying setback, but some others think he may be being rested ahead of a possible return either tomorrow night or at the weekend.
