Derby County’s season was one of two halves and the fans go into the coming season hoping that Steve McClaren and the team can continue the imperious form of the second half of last season. Derby finished the season as the top scorers in the division and finished 3rd, losing in the Play-Off final to a 90th minute QPR winner. This heartbreak could either inspire or deflate The Rams but all the signs coming out of the club indicate they are confident that this season can be another one to remember.

The priority over the close season has been to tie down the key players from last season on long term deals in order to stop any bids from Premier League clubs over the summer.
