Nottingham Forest have boosted their promotion chances with a 2-0 win against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium today.
Second-half goals from Lewis Grabban and Joe Lolley have meant Aitor Karanka’s side leave East Yorkshire with the three points.
Forest have risen up to 7th in the Championship and are now just a point off the Play-Offs after this impressive result.
Hull City remain in the bottom three and have dropped down a place to 23rd. They are point from safety. The Tigers were unbeaten in three games prior to this fixture but were lacklustre in their attempts to extend the run.
Nigel Adkins’ side were second best to Nottingham Forest throughout the game and can have no complaints about the final score.
Next up for Hull is a tricky home tie on Tuesday against table toppers Norwich City, who won 4-1 away at Swansea City today, followed by back-to-back away trips to QPR and Millwall. The Tigers will be without top scorer Fraizer Campbell for the visit of Norwich after he has picked up a suspension after another booking today.
Here is how the Hull City fans have reacted on Twitter to their 2-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest today-
Kevin Stewart and Will Keane to save the game?
Much rather have Max Sheaf and Keane Lewis-Potter be given a chance.#hcafc

Well that wasn't very good. Ah well, we've only got to play Norwich next. Oh dear. #hcafc

Awful performance from #HCAFC, and Campbell now missed the game against Norwich next week. Shambles.

FT: City 0-2 Nott’m Forest. A woefully one-sided affair, and a hard reminder that we are still – thanks to the Allams’ summer sabotage – still in deep trouble. #hcafc

That was as bad as we’ve been all season. And that is saying something. No positives whatsoever. #hcafc
