Bradford boss looking to add three more free agents to side

After the arrivals of free agents Kyle Henry and Paul Caddis, Bradford City boss David Hopkin is looking to add another three free agents to the Bantams ranks.

Former Wolves, QPR and Bolton midfielder Henry signed up today, this coming after former Birmingham City defender Paul Caddis was brought in last week. Caddis showed the expected flashes of class in the Bantam’s hard-fought 1-1 draw against Peterborough last weekend.

With the January transfer window still lover a month away, and with Hopkin critical of City’s recruitment policy over the summer, the Bantams boss has said that he is unlikely to stop here. With Bradford gazing upwards, Hopkin is setting about remodelling the side he inherited from Michael Collins.

Bradford are due to face a resurgent Oxford United side at Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon, a game where Henry is likely to feature. Yet, what turns out on Saturday could be somewhat different to the side that sees the Bantams through December and towards the January window.

In a radio interview carried on BBC Radio Leeds earlier this evening, Hopkin said that he is looking to bring in new faces before January. He stressed that he is looking to bring in further players, wanting to integrate these new faces at the club before the window opens.

Again, Hopkin was critical of the recruitment policy over the summer, using this as the justification for the incoming players. Whatever the justification that Hopkin gives for the new faces, it appears that Bradford City’s use of the free agency market is not over just yet.
