In December, the A-League board will decide which two new teams will be accepted into the top tier of Australian football. The South West Sydney based side will be hoping they are accepted into the League, and want to mark their arrival with the impressive signing of Jedinak.

Despite still unsure if they will be invited into the A-League, the club are already planning for the season. They are hoping that the deal to bring in 34-year-old Jedinak upon their acceptance into the League, and made them aware of the deal this week.

Jedinak has fallen out of favour at Aston Villa under new manager Dean Smith. He featured in the heart of defence under Steve Bruce on eight occasions this season, before Bruce’s sacking. Since Smith’s arrival, Jedinak hasn’t played once, only making the bench in five Championship games.
