Coventry City

PREVIEW: Coventry City v Peterborough United

Coventry City and Peterborough United will both be looking to put a couple of inconsistent results behind them when the pair meet at The Ricoh Arena on Friday evening.

Both The Sky Blues and The Posh have failed to win either of their last two league matches, although they are both still well-placed to be challenging for honours come the end of the campaign.

Coventry City are set to go into their latest match without on-loan Chelsea full-back Dujon Sterling who has an ankle problem while forward Max Biamou continues to be sidelined with a serious knee injury.

Former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong could make his league debut for visitors Peterborough United. The 32-year-old Frenchman signed a short-term deal with The Posh last month following a spell out of the game.

Both managers could opt to make changes to their respective starting line-ups as they attempt to find a winning combination. Coventry City’s 1-0 defeat at Burton Albion last time out denied them sixth spot in the league table while Steve Evans’ Peterborough United could only draw 1-1 with bottom club Bradford City on home soil.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm and will not be shown on live television.
