Ladbrokes Premiership champions Celtic are thought to have sent scouts to watch highly-rated Swansea City full-back Connor Roberts in action according to The Scottish Sun.
The 23-year-old Wales international defender is out of contract at The Liberty Stadium at the end of the season and the player is yet to agree a new deal with The Swans.
It has now been reported that Celtic are thought to be admirers of the youngster and The Bhoys are believed to have sent scouts to South Wales to watch Roberts in action. Swansea City are likely to want to hold onto the player beyond the summer, however, the potential to play UEFA Champions League football with Celtic could provide Roberts with another option to consider.
Roberts has come through the academy system at Swansea City and The Swans have sent the player out on loan to Yeovil Town, Bristol Rovers and Middlesbrough in recent seasons. Roberts made his first team debut for his parent club earlier this year and his since gone on to claim the right-back position.
The player has made 28 appearances for The Swans to date and scored in first goal in the 3-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at The Liberty Stadium in September.
Roberts played for Wales last night as they lost 2-1 to Denmark in Cardiff.
