Leeds United knew what they were doing when they signed Chelsea forward Isaiah Brown. They also knew what they were getting.

What they were getting was an injured player some way down the path to recovery, a player that they would nurture back to full fitness and get back on the pitch. that nurturing is done, and today Leeds United fans got to see their new steed in action for the Under-23s against Birmingham City.

Make no bones about it though, despite being a 21-year-old Brown is not a player that needs Under-23s games. The Chelsea youngster is first-team ready and it is only a matter of time before he gets truly  up to speed and is featuring regularly for the Whites.

Here’s how fans have been responding over on Twitter to news that the Chelsea youngster is nearing full fitness and first-team readiness:

With resources spread a little thin at Elland Road, any positive news about a fit-again body ready to play will no doubt continue to be welcomed by Leeds United fans.
