Hull City linked with move for FC Wacker left-back

Hull City are being linked with a move for FC Wacker left-back Albert Vallci, as per a report by Austrian news outlet Sturmnetz.

The Tigers are currently in the relegation zone in the Championship but may be identifying potential targets for the January transfer window to help bolster their squad.

Vallci, who is 23 years-old, could provide competition and depth to their left-back position. Stephen Kingsley is their only senior player for this position at the moment and he is out injured. Vallci is also capable of playing in central defence and at right-back if needed.

FC Wacker are in the Austrian Bundesliga having won the second division title last season. Vallci has played 17 games for them in all competitions so far in this campaign. His contract there expires in 2020 but he could leave them before that with Hull showing an interest.

Vallci has obtained a lot of first-team experience despite his young age. He started his career at Kapfenberger SV in the Austrian second tier and rose through the youth ranks there before going onto play a handful of times for their senior side.

He was then snapped up by SV Lafnitz where he played 37 games in his only season there before moving to SV Horn in 2016. Vallci spent just a single campaign with the 2008 Austrian Cup winners prior to moving to FC Wacker last year.

He is 6ft 3inc and is highly-rated by his side. Vallci is a name for Hull City fans to keep an eye on over the next couple of months.
