4 Changes: Predicted Millwall XI to face Norwich City

Millwall travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich on Saturday afternoon still looking for their first win away from home in the league this season.

Neil Harris has no new injury worries ahead if the game after Jed Wallace mad a full recovery from a calf strain and played the latter part of last weekends defeat at Brentford. The Lions boss has a number of selection calls to make ahead of what could be a tough day at the office for his side. Jed Wallace, James Meredith, Aiden O’Brien and Steve Morison are all pushing for recalls to the starting 11.

Potenial Changes

Conor McLaughlin IN, Mahlon Romeo, OUT – I can see Neil Harris bringing in Conor McLaughlin to replace Mahlon Romeo due to the Northern Ireland international being a lot more defensive minded than Romeo who was beaten from pillar to post at Brentford last weekend. Whilst Romeo offers more in an attacking threat I think the Lions will have long periods of defending to do and this is something that suits McLaughlin a lot more.

James Meredith, IN,Murray Wallace, OUT – This is the toughest call to make. Murray Wallace has had two good games since moving to left back and was one of the few positives to come away from last weeks loss to Brentford. However, Meredith is cool under pressure and is more suited to playing as a full back than Wallace.

Jed Wallace IN, Jiri Skalak, OUT – Jed Wallace came off the bench last week at Brentford after missing the game against Ipswich the previous week due to injury. However, he has trained fully this week and I expect to see him take his position back on the right flank with Skalak dropping to the bench.

Aiden O’Brien IN, Shane Ferguson, OUT – This would be the least likely of changes in my opinion. Although, the Northern Irishman was unable to get into the game at Brentford and did not see as much of the ball as he had in previous games his from up to last week will mean that he keeps his place in the side.

Steve Morsion, IN, Tom Elliott, OUT – Steve Morison has not started a game since the 3-2 defeat to Sheffield United at the end of September with Tom Elliott starting the last six games since then. However, the latter struggled at Brentford last week and was ineffective. After Morison’s introduction at Griffin Park he was able to hold the ball up in the Brentford half for his teammates to run to something Elliott could not provide.

Predicted Millwall XI to face Norwich:

Amos(GK); McLaughlin, Hutchinson, Cooper, Meredith; J Wallace, Williams, Leonard, Ferguson; Morison, Gregory.
