Peterborough United’s unbeaten away record finally came to an end on Saturday afternoon, as in form Wycombe Wanderers defeated The Posh 1-0 at Adams Park.
Midfielder Bryn Morris’ 67th-minute strike was enough for Gareth Ainsworth’s side to become the first team to take three points from Peterborough United on home turf this season. The victory is The Chairboys’ third in four games, and helps them climb to 15th place.
The loss sees Posh drop out of the top two for the first time this season, as Sunderland climb into the automatic promotion spots as Jack Ross’ side gain the momentum everyone expected them to upon their relegation from the Championship last season.
Posh fans criticized the selection by manager Steve Evans for Saturday’s game, as well as the tactics deployed at Adams Park. His side failed to cause any serious threat throughout the game, as Gareth Ainsworth’s side got the better of The Posh.
Well that was a wake up call , now we wait to see how we respond next time out #pufc

All good runs come to an end. Well done to Wycombe. They didn't give us any time on the ball. The goal was fortuitous and came from our own error so disappointing but what can you do? 🤷♂️ #pufc

Utter rubbish, poor selection again, Tony is an off the bench striker, Godden is known to go weeks without a goal. Cooper must have upset Evans he's far better than Maddison. Can't play Dembele wide, behind front 2. Open your eyes. #pufc
