Preston North End targeting strikers in January- Four potential options

Preston North End are in the hunt for a forward in January, according to the Lancashire Post.

Here are four they could go for-

1. Eomann Brophy, Kilmarnock- The 22-year-old is being tipped for a big future in the game and has made a decent start to the season in the Scottish Premier League. Preston boss Alex Neil will know all about him from when he played for Hamilton Academical as a youngster.

2. Florian Kamberi, Hibernian- Staying in Scotland, Kamberi has scored 8 goals in 14 games for Hibs so far in this campaign. The 23-year-old is a real handful to defenders at 6ft 2inc and signing him would give Preston another option in attack. He is a similar player to Jordan Hugill, who the Lilywhite haven’t really replaced since selling him to West Ham United.

3. John Marquis, Doncaster Rovers- He is one of the most underrated strikers in the Football League and would be able to make the step up from League One to the Championship. The former Millwall forward has scored 51 goals in 117 appearances for Doncaster since his move there in 2016.

4. Charlie Kirk, Crewe Alexandra- The 20-year-old is a promising talent and has already racked up 82 games so far in his career for the Railwaymen in League Two. Preston are no strangers to delving into the lower leagues for talent and you would struggle to find a better signing than Kirk there at the moment.
