‘We are going up’ – QPR fans dreaming of big things after another win

Queens Park Rangers fans are dreaming of a return to the English Premier League after a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at Loftus Road left them just three points off the summit in the Sky Bet Championship, at least for a few hours.

Pawel Wszolek rattled in the only goal of the match via the crossbar in the first half as Rangers continued their rise up the table.

While opponents Aston Villa had all of the quality on paper, Dean Smith’s side failed to deliver and it turned out to be a relatively easy three points for the home side.

As the QPR fans left Loftus Road, there were ironic chants of ‘we are going up’ and their positivity continued on Twitter with many praising the job which new manager Steve McClaren is doing in West London.

QPR are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers before neighbours Brentford are the visitors to W12 a week later.
