Lingard aiming for United chance

Brighton transfer target Jesse Lingard as stated his goals for the coming season in which he wishes to try and break into the first team at Manchester United.

 According to The Argus the 21-year-old has expressed his desire to stay at Old Trafford next season and wait his his chance.

Lingard has not featured for United in the Premier League yet during his time with the club, however despite this has impressed on loan spells with Birmingham City & Albion last season.

Speaking to the Red Devils official website Lingard spoke about his recent time away & laid out his ambitions for the future:

“You’ve got to wait for your chance but make sure you take it when you get it. All the youngsters have been doing well and most have had a run-out so we’re all looking to progress from there.

“My ambitions are just to do my best and break into the first team. I hope I can play some games in the cup competitions and in the league as well.”

Last season Lingard made a big impression at The Amex producing 4 goals in 17 starts.
