Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is a loan target for Leeds United and Aston Villa, according to the Daily Star.
The 21-year-old could leave the Premier League giants on loan in January to gain some regular first-team experience.
Leeds United are looking for potential acquisitions to help with their promotion push. The Whites have made an impressive start to life under Marcelo Bielsa but are keen on further bolstering their midfield by landing McTominay in Janaury.
They will have to face competition from Championship rivals Aston Villa. Their new manager, Dean Smith, will be hoping to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad. The former Walsall and Brentford boss will still be aiming for promotion this season.
McTominay would be a shrewd loan signing for any team in the second tier. The 6ft 4inc midfielder joined Manchester United in 2002 and rose through the youth ranks at Old Trafford.
He made his first-team debut for the Red Devils in April 2017 in a Premier League fixture against Arsenal at the Emirates. McTominay has since played 29 times since then, with the majority of his appearances coming off the bench.
The highly-rated youngster is now also a Scotland international and has made 3 caps. He has pledged his allegiance to Scotland despite also being eligible to play for England.
Gaining some regular first-team action would benefit McTominay and a move to either Leeds or Aston Villa, where he could be part of a promotion push, would be a useful experience for him at this early stage of his career.
