Patrick Bamford has apprently grown very close to joining Middlesbrough with reputable journalist Scott Wilson replying to a fans query over whether Bamford was going to Middlesbrough as ‘pretty much done’.

A number of clubs were chasing the Chelsea striker and it is unknown whether Bamford has/will join(ed) on a permanent deal or a loan basis so he could well be a Chelsea striker for the future.

Wilson the chief sports writer of the Northern Echo tweeted the fan at around 11:45/12 o’clock and more details are likely to emerge in the morning.

Bamford last seasons scored 22 goals in 44 games across his two loan spells at Derby County in the Championship and MK Dons in League One and looks set to return to the Championship with Boro’ after a number of clubs had chased him including Wolves and Derby County reportedly.
