West Brom manager Darren Moore and on loan striker Dwight Gayle have won the Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards respectively.
September was a successful month for West Brom. Darren Moore guided his side through September’s League fixtures unbeaten, picking up 13 points out of a possible 15 in their five Championship games. scoring 12 goals and conceding six goals.
The 44-year-old beat Norwich’s Daniel Farke, Chris Wilder of Sheffiled United and Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook to the award.
Moore commented on the award on West Brom’s club website.
“We all share this award, it’s not mine, it’s ours.
“It shows what’s been going on at the football club over the last six months. Everyone related to the club is pulling in the right direction and long may it continue.
“Everyone has played their part, whether they be staff, players, fans, stewards, ticket office staff, commercial, the media team – they are all behind this.”
Dwight Gayle was one of three strikers on the shortlist for the Player of the Month award, alongside Brentford striker Neal Maupay, Norwich’s Teemu Pukki and Blackburn playmaker Bradley Dack.
West Brom’s on loan striker Dwight Gayle has enjoyed a thoroughly successful month at The Hawthorns, picking up five goals and two assists in six games, helping Moore’s side go unbeaten throughout September.
