Sean Dyche admits that he see’s £8 million as too excessive of a price tag for Troy Deeney. The Watford striker has evidently been the clear point of interest in the past few weeks regarding Championship transfers and with reputable clubs Leicester, QPR and obviously the Clarets all eyeing up the striker, it really was a true testament and proof of Deeney’s ability to bring in such interest.

With transfers this window coming under heavy criticism and many players being labelled as ‘overpriced’ English ‘talent’ , clubs are evidently still prepared to fork out big bids for Championship men and Deeney’s tag will not deter other clubs and especially not wealthy QPR.

This race certainly isn’t over yet.
